Artist’s Statement

As an artist I am interested in making work that strikes a balance between the poetic and the political; that examines humanity in all its gore and glory; that asks questions about who we are, and leaves room for the audience to actively participate in the puzzle. I want to explore work that draws upon the social realism of our conscious mind, and the imagination and mystery of what lies deeper within us; that responds to our current circumstance, while being in a state of ever-connected communication with that which led us here; the philosophical, the mythological, and the political to name a few.
