EUGYEENE TEH

Eugyeene Teh is a freelance theatre designer based in Melbourne. While at the Victorian College of Arts, he designed for The Conduct of Life (dir. Jenny Kemp,) Woyzeck (dir. Travis Green) and A Little Night Music (dir. Martin Croft.) He completed the Master in Production (design) course in 2008 and has worked as a design assistant to Peter Corrigan on Malthouse Theatre/ Victorian Opera’s Through the Looking Glass (dir. Michael Kantor.) He also designed Sarah Kane’s Cleansed (dir. Adena Jacobs) on the Master’s Season at VCA, and Nature Strip, a dance piece with Natalie Cursio. Since then, he has worked on a breadth of shows including Elektra (dir. Adena Jacobs,) Ulrike Meinhof sings (dir. Sapidah Kian) for Turtle Lab, A Dream Play (dir. Olivia Allen) for Ignite Productions, Call Girl, (dir. Bryce Ives) No Man’s Island at the Old Fitzroy Theatre, Pains of Youth (dir. Ben Pfeiffer) for The Artisan Collective, and Natalie Cursio’s Private Dances, the keynote project for the 2010 Next Wave Festival, which won the Green Room award for best concept and realization. He also coordinated and co-designed sculptures for the Shelter: On Kindness exhibition at RMIT gallery with LAB Architecture Studio for the 2009 Melbourne International Arts Festival.
