Tobias Manderson-Galvin
Tobias is a Melbourne based playwright, poet and performance maker. In March 2010 Tobias co-founded MKA with fellow playwright Glyn Roberts.
Prior to MKA Tobias sat as Chair of Platform Youth Theatre. As a performer & devisor he has worked with a multitude of independent companies such as the Black Lung Theatre and Whaling Firm, Sisters Grimm, Family of Strangers and his own Sample Theatre. His works have been performed and published everywhere from bootleg CDs to Radio National; from Channel V to under a bridge in Westgarth.
For MKA he has directed all renditions of, and appeared once in, David Finnigan’s 22 Short Plays; he has directed Nathaniel Moncrieff’s Tinkertown, readings of Akira Matsumoto’s The Insane Love and Van Badham’s Swamplands and excerpts from his own plays An Afternoon with the Faun and Riding into the Sunset at Dawn.
His play Dogmeat (MKA + La Mama Theatre, Melbourne Fringe 2010; directed by Jessica Tuckwell), won the 2010 St Martins National Playwriting Competition. His most recent work, the Economist, received National media attention, popular and critical acclaim, and is currently under negotiation for tours within Australia and abroad.
Tobias is currently completing a Masters in Writing for Performance at the University of Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts.

Glyn Roberts
His plays include: Eva Braun X 4 (Short&Sweet Sydney 2008), The Jaundice Table (directed by Peta Hanrahan at La Mama Theatre, 2006 Melbourne International Comedy Fesival), This is Set in the Future (Directed by Robert Reid at La Mama Theatre in 2008), the short play B.L.T (48 Hr Play Generator, Emerging Writers Festival 2009) & Fuckbox (Short&Shit: Crack Theatre Festival 2010), and most recently the Horror Face (MKA Season 1 2010). His play Triangle will be a part of MKA’s 2012 season in mid July and will be directed by MKA’s resident director,Tanya Dickson.
As a producer, I have produced nearly every MKA show so far. All the many readings and events we have created and over seen the logistics and construction of 5 Pop-Up theatres.
Glyn is currently completing a Masters in Writing for Performance at the University of Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts.

Associate Producer (Germany) Annie Last
Annie Last is an Associate Producer for MKA; Actor; Director and theatre-maker.
She has worked professionally in theatre, film and dance in Australia and Europe. She holds a BA in History and Diploma in Creative Arts (Theatre) from the University of Melbourne, which she completed on scholarship at the Humboldt University Berlin (2005).
In 2009 she graduated with a Bachelor of Dramatic Art from the Victorian College of the Arts, where she was the recipient of the Mary Lou Orloff Scholarship. Theatrical credits include Anna in Anna Karenina (2011), Desdemona in Othello (2010), Brutus in Julius Caesar (2009), Sonya in Uncle Vanya (2009).
Since it’s inception, Annie has been working closely with the MKA as an actor. In 2012, Annie performs her role as MKA’s Associate Producer, returning to Berlin with the “MKA: Melbourne/Berlin Festival for new Australian Writing”; bringing a select taste of Australia’s best new writing (for the first time ever) to the international stage.
Annie is proud to be showcasing a select choice of Australia’s best new writing talent in Berlin.

Literary Manager Jana Perkovic
Jana Perkovic is … for MKA; critic and writer.
Jana writes about contemporary performance for a range of Australian media outlets, and contributes to the Arts Alive radio program, and the Croatian program on SBS radio. She also works at the Melbourne School of Design at University of Melbourne, as a researcher and teaching assistant – specialising in the relationship between urban planning and designm and creative communities. She is a member of the Green Room Awards panel for Hybrid & Alternative Performance, and collaborates with Playwriting Australia. She writes a blog at http://www.guerrillasemiotics.
She is currently studying in the Master of Urban Design program at Melbourne School of Design, and looking for a good masters degree in dramaturgy.

Casting Director Peter Paltos
Peter recently graduated from 16TH Street Actors Studio part time programme. He also studied the Meisner approach at Ward Studio NYC in 2010.
In 2009 Peter made his film debut in the feature Bad Habits. Peter has appeared in televisions City Homicide and the nationally syndicated commercial ‘Beeflex Wedding’
In 2011 Peter was an ensemble member of MKA’S hit production of ‘The Economist’, which was remounted at the Maulthouse for the 2012 National Playwriting Competition and a sell out season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
In 2013 Peter will reprise his role of Clive, in Sisters Grimm’s, ‘Summertime In the Garden of Eden’ at Sydney’s Griffin Theatre and St Kilda’s TheatreWorks
Peter recently performed in The Honeytrap production of ‘Savage in Limbo’ and Little Ones Theatre’s ‘Psycho Beach Party’.
